Sport

  • We had a gaelic football blitz for 3rd - 6th class pupils along with pupils from Kilshanny School on Tuesday 20th June in the Deanery.
  • Friday the 9th June marked our final swim session in Lahinch Leisure Centre. Well done to all the pupils on the improvement made.
  • Thank you to Cian O'Dea who has offered GAA coaching over the past number of weeks and to Mr. Cahill who has stepped up when Cian has not been available. The children have been very fortunate to have two very capable coaches teaching them the skills of the game.
  • We had a Clare colours day for all pupils on Monday the 12th June.
  • Thank you to everyone who supported our School Walk on Sunday 28th May. Our Annual Sponsored Walk iDonate Fundraising Page raised €1,290. A huge thank you to the four parents who raised this incredible amount. We made €1,530 on the day of the walk. In total, we raised over €2,800 towards our Astro Turf.

First Holy Communion

  • Congratulations to our pupils in 2nd Class on making their First Holy Communion on Saturday 20th May. Thank you to Mrs. Whelton for all the preparatory work in advance of the sacrament.

Astro Turf

  • I would like to thank everyone who has supported us in our fundraising for the school astro turf. I am delighted to share that we have paid a 50% deposit for the works to FamilyGrass, a Clare based company who specialise in this type of work and are very well known nationally. We expect to get confirmation on a start date for the work over the coming weeks. The work will take approximately three weeks so we are very excited that the astro turf will be ready in advance of the childrens' return to school at the end of August.

Mosaic Art Mural:

  • Having completed our Mosaic Art Lessons with Leigh O’Connell as part of the Artists in Schools Programme 5th and 6th class pupils began grouting our mural onto the front wall of Kilfenora Hall.
